Yes! We encourage couples to book a consultation and further explore enhancing their communication and overcoming relationship obstacles.
Whether you are calling for yourself or seeking family/couples therapy, our first consultation will consist of us reviewing the reason(s) for seeking support, where you are in life, and what you’re interested in exploring. If we find that we are the right fit, the first few sessions together will involve a process of getting to know one another, sharing you and/or your couple/family history, and discussing the short and long-term goals of our work together.
Each person and reason for coming to therapy differs from person to person, couple to couple, as well as family to family. Because of this, the number of necessary sessions will vary. However, we will always be transparent with you on your journey with us. During your first intake appointment, you and your therapist will create a personalized treatment goal plan and discuss both the frequency and duration of recommended therapy sessions.
Here at IGU, we pride ourselves on our community connections which offer extended support to our clients. If we are certain that we are not a good fit for one another, we will work to provide the appropriate referrals to best suit your needs.
